54 Cricket exists so everyone can play cricket everywhere.Why?
Cricket has an inherent accessibility problem in the UK. Too many children are held back by barriers to participation such as:* Equipment costs - bats, pads and helmets cost hundreds of pounds
* The "posh" tag - cricket still carries an image of being for those who attend private schools
* The "boys only" tag - girls are still under-represented and under-supported
* Limited access in schools - many don't timetable cricket at all.We believe that these barriers are keeping too many young people from a game that belongs to everyone.Our mission:
To make cricket fun, inclusive and engaging through affordable equipment and engaging coaching drills that girls, boys, parents, coaches and schools can use to break down participation barriers.
